Browning Under Lever Model BLR Light Weight Rifle in a SERIOUSLY RARE for the UK .450 Marlin Calibre. NOT ACTUALLY AVAILABLE HERE USUALLY.

Date stamped to the left side of the chamber for 2014 which also matches the Serial Number date letters.

19 ½” (459mm) Barrel set to a 13 7/8” (353mm) Stock pull length finishing at 39 7/8” (1012mm) overall. For such a ‘meaty’ calibre this is quite definitely a ‘light weight’ rifle too, tipping scales at a mere 7 Lbs 1 oz (3.2 Kg).

General condition certainly lets this fall into my ‘Sleeper’ category. Though given its still a relative baby at approx. only 8 years old it not really a genuine contender. Equally then considering the calibre it IS something that little bit SPECIAL compared with most other options. Excellent finish throughout and still in almost Showroom condition. Somewhat remarkable given the original High Gloss Varnish stock finish. Chequering is still clean, crisp and sharp. Gold wash to the trigger in just about as new condition too. Simply put there are absolute minimal marks or evidence to suggest anything other than the lightest of use so far.

Black finished action pre-drilled and tapped ready to take suitable scope rings. Standard 1” options in stock.

As you might expect and / or hope the Bolt is ‘something else’. 4 Longitudinal Guide Rails with a 6 Lug Lock Up. Feeds in and out by a more than fare sized cog and matching teeth to the bottom feed rail. It DOES work, feel and look like a well-made clock. Safety is with the Hammer set at Half Cock.

I can easily imagine this IS an AMAZING driven Game Rifle carrying a large round capacity. FAST reload time and second to none knock down capabilities.
