Post CZ .22lr 452, SMALL PROBLEM.
My CZ .22lr wont eject the odd live round unless fired. It works perfectly apart from that, and has no probs ejecting and loading, just every now and again, it wont eject a live one.
I keep the bolt clean ect. I also use CCI ammo, if that makes a difference.
The gun is new, only had it a month.
Any help would be great, thanks.

I had a similar problem with CCI when my Sako Finfire was new. A change to Eley solved the problem. The CCI shot fine, but I had some trouble both in closing the bolt and ejecting.

You will find that the extractor claw isn’t riding over the rim properly unless the round is fired. Firing the rifle causes the case to be pushed back into the bolt face and allows the extractor claw to clamp over the rim properly.
It sounds like you may have a little bit of excess head-space or the claw has a bit of muck under it.

Head-spacing in a .22 rf isn’t dangerous, just a bloody nuisance as it can cause shots to string vertically. Remember the case isn’t resting on the shoulders of the case as in a bottle-necked case, but is being supported by the rim against the breech face.
